[Spe-ce-re]: Latin infinitive meaning “to look/to notice”
Specere is a collection formally started in 2018 – at least that is when the concept started to take shape. But there were a few earlier tapestries that indicate the idea might have always been in my head. This was a project to capture moments in nature through the art of tapestry. The intention is not to weave the whole, but to highlight the shapes and colours we can find when we take the time to look closely.
